Compass has been awarded the Cyber Essentials accreditation, the UK government-backed certification that verifies an organisation’s defences against the most common cyber threats.
The accreditation, overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), requires independently verified controls across five core areas: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection, and security update management.
For Compass, the certification is particularly significant given the nature of the clients it serves. Law firms are increasingly required by regulators, insurers, and clients alike to demonstrate that the partners and suppliers they use meet a recognised standard of cyber protection.
Ryan Hannah, Managing Director of Compass, commented:
“Our clients operate in an environment where data security is non-negotiable, and it’s important to us that we can demonstrate, not just assert, that we take that responsibility seriously. This certification is a reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to.”
Cyber Essentials accreditation provides law firms with the assurance that Compass has taken verified, structured steps to protect the systems and data it manages, giving them confidence that working with Compass meets their own compliance and due diligence requirements.
